QUESTIONS ABOUT VOLUNTEERING?
Q. HOW CAN I SHOP EARLY?
A. Consignors all receive one preview sale pass for the evening before the public sale begins. If you would like to shop even earlier, volunteer for at least three hours. Volunteers will be allowed to shop before the public sale and before the consignors. Please see our Consignor and Volunteer webpages for pre-sale shopping times.
Q. CAN SOMEONE ELSE VOLUNTEER IN MY PLACE, AND I STILL RECEIVE THE CREDIT?
A. Yes, we do all family members and friends to volunteer and give their volunteer time credit to a consignor.
Q. WILL YOU STILL HAVE THE SALE IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
A. The sale will go on regardless of the weather. The sale is indoors.
Q. DO I HAVE TO BE A CONSIGNOR TO VOLUNTEER?
A. No, anyone can volunteer. But if you do consign, volunteering for 2 shifts gets you more money in your check! You bump from 60% to 70% when you sign up for 2 shifts.
Q. MAY I BRING MY CHILDREN TO MY VOLUNTEER SHIFT?
A. No, it will be difficult for you to work and watch the little ones at the same time. We can have children over the age of 14 at the sale – and they can receive community service hours. If you can’t arrange child care, please contact us. We have a few shifts that aren’t during the sale hours.
Q. WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T SHOW UP FOR MY VOLUNTEER SHIFT?
A. We count on our volunteers to make our sale a success. If you know you cannot fulfill your shift, please let us know as soon as possible. Any volunteer who does not fullfill their shift without telling us will not be able to volunteer in the future.
Q. CAN I SIGN UP FOR MORE THAN ONE SHIFT?
A. Yes, if you volunteer for two shifts, you may bring a friend to the volunteer sale if you aren’t a consignor. If you’re a consignor, 2 shifts bump you up to making 70%!!
